This 32-year-old European woman wanted a more defined upper lip and greater harmony in her facial features. She also hoped to show more of her teeth when smiling.

Dr. Ricardo Rodriguez performed a lip lift by removing a small strip of skin at the base of the nose. No muscle was disturbed, allowing for a natural-looking result and smoother recovery. Her final post-operative philtrum length measured 1.1 cm (11 mm), contributing to a fuller, more defined lip contour and more balanced proportions.

The procedure was done under local anesthesia, comparable to a dental visit, and took about 90 minutes. It was performed at Dr. Rodriguez’s AAAASF-accredited surgical center in Baltimore.

This 49-year-old had 5 mm of skin removed at the base of the nose to lift the upper lip resulting in a more youthful-looking mouth. Originally she had a philtrum to vermillion lip distance of 1.8 cm (18 mm).

Lip Lift performed on a 55-year-old, 5-ft, 5-in woman to rejuvenate the mouth area. The result left her final philtrum to vermillion border measurement equal to 1.0 cm (10 mm).
