Plastic surgery procedures

Dr. Ricardo L. Rodriguez specializes in multiple cosmetic surgery procedures, performed in his AAAASF accredited Surgery Center located in Baltimore, Maryland. All procedures are performed under local or IV anesthesia with Board Certified Anesthesiologists.

  • Breast lift (Mastopexy)

A Breast lift removes some of the skin and raises the nipple and breast tissue, which results in a lifting and firming of the breasts. It is typically performed as a bilateral procedure, but it can also be performed on one breast to achieve symmetry with the other breast following a reconstructive procedure.

  • Thigh lift (Partial belt lipectomy)

The Thigh lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to tighten the skin of the thigh and reduce sagging in the inner or outer thighs. The procedure is commonly performed on patients with massive weight loss, but it is also performed on people who have not experienced weight loss. There are two types of Thigh lifts:

    • Inner thigh lift (aka Medial thigh lift)
    • Outer thigh lift
  • Mommy makeover

A Mommy makeover is a combination of procedures that address changes in the body after pregnancy. It is a big transformation and this procedure has a very high satisfaction rate! The procedure consists of one of the following surgical combinations:

    • Tummy tuck + Breast lift
    • Tummy tuck + Breast augmentation
    • Tummy tuck + Breast augmentation with lift
    • Tummy tuck + Breast reduction
  • Liposuction (Liposculpture)

Liposuction is a fat extraction procedure used to remove unwanted fat deposits. The procedure was developed for full body usage in 1977 by Dr. Yves Gerard Illouz, a plastic surgeon in Paris. It was introduced in the United States in 1982, and is now the most commonly performed plastic surgery procedure. The procedure eliminates bulges of fat from different areas of the body with minimal scarring. The equipment used now has been dramatically refined to make the procedure safer and more effective. When the procedure is performed with thin 3mm cannulas, you should not need lymphatic massages post operatively, as the results will already be smooth and even.

  • Labiaplasty (Labia reduction)

A Labiaplasty, commonly referred to as Labia reduction, is an aesthetic surgery for the female genitalia, which involves reduction of the labia. Wikipedia describes the average length of the labia minora (inner labia) of females between the ages of 18 – 50 to be 61 mm. However, longer lengths were recorded up to 100 mm. Patients request the surgery because their labia either hangs, or appears to be too long. Some patients complain of discomfort when wearing tight undergarments.

  • Arm lift (Brachioplasty)

The Arm Lift, also known as the Brachioplasty procedure, reduces excess skin and underlying fat that occurs between the underarm and the elbow, reshaping the arm to result in smoother skin and more normal contours. There are several versions of this procedure, each depending on the amount and location of the loose skin.

  • Gynecomastia surgery (Male breast reduction)

Gynecomastia, also commonly referred to as *man boobs*, is an enlargement of breast tissue in men. Gynecomastia surgery, also referred to as *male breast reduction*, is one of the most popular cosmetic procedures requested by men. While some men requesting this surgery are overweight, many are not. The procedure can be performed under local or IV anesthesia and return to work is usually 1 week.

  • Breast reduction (Reduction mammaplasty)

Breast reduction, or Reduction mammaplasty, is a plastic surgery procedure that removes excess skin and fatty tissue, lifting the breasts and making them smaller. Because it’s commonly used to relieve pain associated with having large breasts, it is considered reconstructive surgery and is often covered by medical insurance.

  • Breast lift with implants

This procedure combines a Breast lift with a Breast augmentation in a single operative session. The lift is used to reposition the breast higher on the chest while the implant is used to give, or restore, upper pole fullness at the top of the breast. This procedure may be performed for cosmetic purposes, or as part of a reconstructive procedure.

  • B’more Butt Lift (Lipo 360)

The B’more butt lift is the same as Lipo 360 except it puts more emphasis or making the butt look more prominent. It completely removes the muffin top that exist all the way around the waist.  It is fat extraction via Liposuction in a circumferential fashion. Many women have such a large ‘muffin top’ around the entire perimeter of their waist, that the buttock definition is lost. Once the fat from the abdomen and flanks is removed in a Lipo 360 manner, most women have more prominent buttocks than they thought!

  • Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

The Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile. It adds fat to the buttocks and hips. The surgical procedure uses your own fat, so it is the most natural way to augment your buttocks. For your safety, fat is injected only into the subcutaneous region of the buttocks. People of all ages and body types are having the Brazilian butt lift procedure.

  • Butt lift procedure (Skin-tightening)

A Posterior butt lift is a skin-tightening procedure which eliminates loose, hanging skin from above the buttocks. Removal of the skin elevates the buttock tissues to improve the contour of the entire buttock. It can be performed as a solo procedure, or as part of the total Body lift. The procedure improves the contour of the buttock and makes it ‘perkier.’
