I think that the first great thing that came out of this is the, is to me, the awareness of where the inferior gluteal vein is and really, really understanding its position and how it comes into fruition. That’s number one.
Number two, I’ve got a general comment to make about TIVA, or Total (or partial) Intravenous Anesthesia (IV sedation) combined with tumescent. I think that that (IV sedation + tumescent) is an independent factor that will make your surgery safer form the pulmonary point of view. That will decrease your incidents of pulmonary embolism, pulmonary sequelae, because, as I explained in the dynamics of how things happen, and it will decrease your incidents of pulmonary emboli in general.
Specifically, it (IV sedation + tumescent) will, like I said, decrease your target. It shrinks your vessels and it (IV sedation + tumescent) therefore decreases the likelihood of injury (pulmonary fat embolism).
