cannula
A liposuction cannula is a long slender rod used for the following two purposes:
- to remove fat in the the liposuction procedure
- to place fat into an area (a fat transfer procedure) such as the butt augmentation.
In the Liposuction procedure, the cannula is attached to a suction unit which enables the plastic surgeon to remove unwanted fat from various areas of the body. The liposuction cannulas may be of various diameters. Dr. Rodriguez prefers to use very thin cannulas in his liposuction procedures in order to get the most optimum result. Watch his for a detailed discussion about why thin cannulas are so important.
For facial fat transfer procedures, very thin cannulas are used to place the fat into areas that the patient wants augmented.

I was very, very pleased with Dr. Rodriguez and his whole office. They were wonderful to me.
